On Monday, 5 August 2025, our preschool children embarked on a heartwarming Neighbourhood Walk to Teck Whye View as part of our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) project.
This meaningful initiative was made even more special with the participation of seniors from REACH-SLEC Active Aging Centre @ Teck Whye Vista, who joined the children on their walk.
The event aimed to foster intergenerational bonding, allowing children and seniors to connect through shared experiences, conversations, and companionship. As they walked side by side, we witnessed beautiful moments of empathy, joy, and mutual respect which are true reflections of the SSDB values.
Together with the seniors, we collected leaves and also picked up rubbish in the park connector. Through this experience, our children learned the importance of kindness, active citizenship and community engagement, while the seniors enjoyed the lively energy and warmth of the young ones. It was a morning filled with smiles, laughter, and meaningful connections.
We are proud to be part of the SSDB movement and look forward to more opportunities to nurture compassionate and socially responsible young citizens.
