Our Start Small Dream Big 2025 journey has officially started! With the theme ‘Growing Together, Creating Tomorrow,’ the project aims to foster problem-solving, innovation, intergenerational bonding, and community involvement by engaging children in meaningful, hands-on experiences that connect them with their families, Singapore’s food heritage, and the nation’s future. This project supports our school’s mission to provide quality learning that nurtures children holistically, as children collaborate, show empathy across generations, and contribute meaningfully to the community.
Our children from Infants to K2 kicked off the launch with meaningful art and craft activities. Each class created unique crafts that symbolised growth, unity, and future aspirations. To make it even more special, the children added a personal or class pledge, showing their commitment to contribute positively to the community.
All the children were engaged in an art and craft activity where they created items such as flowers, handprints, beehives, or a kindness tree, each featuring a unique class or individual pledge for SSDB 2025
The N2, K1 and K2 children actively participated in the discussion, sharing about what they already knew and what they were curious to find out and learn about this project
In the afternoon, we were thrilled to welcome our families for our SSDB Parent Launch. We shared how our SSDB project this year ties in with SG60 celebrations, family bonding, STEMIE learning, and basic coding through Bee-Bot. Parents listened to a sharing on the exciting journey ahead and how their children will be involved in activities that foster creativity, teamwork, and innovation.

To bring learning to life, parents and children explored Bee-Bot coding at one of six engaging activity stations. These hands-on games, built around the theme ‘Growing Together, Creating Tomorrow’ which ties in with SG60, also included music, art, construction, gross motor activities, and Singapore-themed challenges.
Laughter and cheers filled the room as families worked and learned together, strengthening bonds through play and teamwork. Each station game was thoughtfully designed to promote family connection while supporting our project goals.
Children and their families had a blast navigating the Bee-Bot through a vibrant map filled with photos of Singapore’s local delights and iconic landmarks
In this station, their family members sang nursery rhymes while children pointed to the matching pictures, creating a heart-warming moment of family connection
Here, family members worked together to bring the ‘bees’ (balls) back to the ‘beehive’ (box), promoting teamwork and shared joy through active play
Following the buzz from the last game, this station had families guiding the lost, tired ‘bees’ (toilet rolls) back to the beehive (basket) using long implements- lots of laughter, teamwork and gentle pushes all around!
In this fun and challenging station, children and their families teamed up to build a cup tower taller than the designated height
In this creative station, children and their families worked together to build their houses using recyclable materials, turning everyday items into sweet, imaginative homes full of love!
Look at all their amazing creations!
With that, this launch marks the beginning of a meaningful adventure where we grow and dream together – children, families, and educators alike – as we work hand in hand to create a better tomorrow!
