To bring the seed collection and distribution project to a meaningful close, pairs of children and parents went on an excursion to Far East Flora for a parent–child floral arrangement workshop. Working side by side, they created beautiful arrangements together—an experience that was both creative and nurturing for well-being, enriched by sensory exploration of colors, scents, and textures.
The excursion also offered the children a wider perspective on the world of plants. They toured the facilities, stepping into a cold room where flowers from across the globe are kept fresh, alongside herbs ready for use. On the rooftop garden, they explored both indoor and outdoor plants, flowering varieties, and edible herbs. Walking through other levels, they encountered succulents, air plants, water plants, carnivorous species like Venus flytraps, and many more—each discovery expanding their understanding of plant life.
This final experience connected everything the children had learned throughout the project: planting seeds, caring for them, exploring their uses in food, art, and well-being, and finally, sharing seeds with the community. Walking alongside their parents reinforced that their learning was not only valuable in school but also meaningful in the wider world, validating their work and deepening their appreciation of nature’s abundance.
