Here at Posso Preschool @ Jurong East, we have partnered up with Mandai Wildlife Reserve for our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) project this year. This year, we will be raising funds to adopt Khansa the Orangutan.
On 25th April 2023, we held out SSDB launch party. The children came to school wearing an animal headband of their favourite animal. First, we sang ‘Step by step’ (The official song for SSDB), Then, we shared with the children what is SSDB about. Together with the children, we unboxed the SSDB items sent to us.
Afterwards, we revealed to the children the theme of this year’s SSDB — Restoring Khansa’s Home, along with the activities they will participate in later this year. We hope that through this year’s project, we can deepen the children’s knowledge about Orangutans, and nurture their compassion for animals.
Lastly, to get the children excited and interested in Orangutans, we officially kicked start this year’s SSDB project with a mini task for all of our children (Playgroup to Kindergarten 2); To complete Khansa the Orangutan!
