To wrap up our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) project, the children went on an exciting and meaningful field trip to the Red Cross Camp Site. This visit served as a culmination of all they had learned throughout the project, allowing them to gain hands-on experience in essential life-saving and emergency preparedness skills.
During the trip, the children participated in various engaging activities such as learning how to perform CPR, use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), pack a “go bag” with emergency supplies, and transport water from a water filtration tap. These activities were designed to build their awareness of safety, teamwork, and community responsibility.
This field trip provided invaluable learning opportunities. The children not only gained practical knowledge about handling emergencies but also developed confidence, problem-solving skills, and a sense of readiness to help others in times of need. It was a meaningful and empowering end to our SSDB journey, reinforcing the importance of care, resilience, and being active contributors to the community.
