Finale: Creative ReUse - Our Learning Journey

The idea of Creative ReUse started when we joined the World Water Day Celebration.

Children created a poster using old plastic bags, newspaper and bottle caps.

Our children began to be involved in different community activities that promotes conserving the environment.

Eco-bag Shopping:

Our students used Eco-bags instead of plastic carriers when they bought food.

Children learnt that even in shopping they can still save the Earth.

Creative ReUse Project:

Children created some craft projects which were displayed and sold during our PCF Radin Mas Carnival.

The earnings were donated to the President’s Challenge to help the less fortunate.

Kindness Day SG:

Our theme was ‘Be Kind to Earth’. It was our 2nd year collaborating with Kindness Singapore to promote kindness and care.

Children created fridge magnets using metal lids, newspaper and Singa cut-out picture. These fridge magnets were given to the residents in our neighbourhood as a reminder to save our Earth through recycling.

Keep Clean Singapore:

In collaboration with NEA, our students participated in the Annual Keep Clean Singapore.

We have chosen Hillock Park to clean.

Lion Befrienders Senior Activity Centre - Elderly Visit:

Our children performed a dance and song presentation to give happiness to the elders.

Children gave food packs and pledge cards with their promise to always respect and love our elderly people.

Children learnt to respect and love people who are different from them.

Thanksgiving party:

We invited the parents of our students. This is to show kindness and appreciation for the help they have given to their children.

Waste segregation:

Children learnt the 3R’s (Reuse, Reduce and Recycle)

SSDB 2017 helped our children to be more caring and loving not only to others but to their environment too.

Our world would be a better place if we start to care.

Thank you SSDB 2017 for the life-long learning and experiences.
