The children explored Singapore’s diverse cultural cuisines that we often see in our hawker centres. They had a hands‑on experience folding Chinese dumplings, learning how the wrappers keep the fillings inside like a little food treasure. To experience Malay cuisine, they created colourful bowls of laksa, pasting yarns to represent the noodles and decorating their bowls with vibrant toppings.
Through these activities, the children discovered how food can be enjoyed in many different forms and how our hawker centres bring together a wonderful variety of dishes from different cultures.
