Celebrating SG60: A National Day of Joy @ Allkin

This SG60, we honour our seniors — the pioneers who have contributed tirelessly to Singapore’s growth and progress. They remind us of the importance of treasuring those who built our nation and celebrating milestones together with gratitude.

To mark Singapore’s 60th National Day, our children spent a joyful morning at Allkin, filled with music, movement, and heartfelt connections. The celebration began with a lively dance to “Here We Are”, the SG60 theme song for this year, where children’s cheerful energy brought wide smiles to the seniors, filling the room with warmth and festive spirit.

To promote active aging, children and seniors teamed up for fun obstacle challenges. They carefully slid their feet through hula hoops, balanced as they crossed over, and passed footballs with the help of cones. More than just games, these activities became moments of encouragement, teamwork, and laughter — where young and old supported each other with patience and joy.

For the children, these intergenerational interactions became valuable lessons in empathy, respect, and care. By communicating and partnering with seniors, they discovered the joy of building connections across generations and learned to appreciate the wisdom and resilience of those who came before them — cultivating meaningful values that will guide them through life.

As our monthly visits to Allkin continue, we look forward to building more bridges across generations, creating lasting memories that nurture gratitude, care, and a deeper sense of belonging.

❤️🇸🇬 This SG60, may we remember that the heart of our nation lies not only in progress, but in the relationships we build and the love we share across generations.
