Sustainability - Caring for our World Together

At our centre, we believe that even the smallest actions can make a big difference. This year, our SSDB project focuses on sustainability, nurturing environmentally-conscious mindsets in young children and empowering them to care for the world around them.

Project Launch - Online Webinar

We kickstarted our SSDB journey with an online webinar launch party called “From Trash to Toys”. Parents were introduced to the project objectives and upcoming activities, highlighting how families can also play a part in protecting our environment. During the online launch we also did a live demo of an upcycling activity. The session build a deeper appreciation for caring the world, turning the little ones into eco-heroes!

Recycle Corner - Centre Based

A Recycle Corner - “Feed the recycling monsters” bins was set up in our centre to encourage children bring from home to practise reusing and reducing waste in school.

Inspired by creativity in Esplanade

Children watched the Karang Guni Boy play at Esplanade, learning how old and discarded items can be transformed into something new and meaningful from the play they have watched. Children also managed to experience some hands-on learning such as recycling activity during the play!

Learning Journey to Marina Barrage - Partnership with Marina Barrage

At the Singapore Sustainability Gallery, children explored interactive exhibits and participated in an upcycling activity, discovering innovative ways to care for the environment.

Mother’s Day with a Eco-Chic Green Touch - Centre Based

For Mother’s Day, we invited all mothers to come by our centre for a celebration where children expressed their love and appreciation by creating heartfelt gifts from recycled and upcycled materials. The aim is showing how love, creativity and sustainability can go hand in hand. They made bags, necklaces, bands and other gifts using materials they have collected from the recycling corner monster bins. It was such a heart warming moments for our mummies!

Intergenerational Outreach with Go Green SG and ActiveAG - Partnership with Tampines Home Care

In collaboration with Go Green SG and ActiveSG, our children visited Tampines Home Care. In first room, children engaged in sustainability-themed games with the elderly made from recycled materials in promoting both environmental and physical well-being. In the other room, children was engaging in planting session using recycled materials. The aim behind each activity is to show sustainability nurtures growth where understanding and bonding between 2 generations can be a great cause.

Supporting the Community - Partnership with Singapore Red Cross

Our children joined hands with the Singapore Red Cross – Grateful Hearts 2025 fundraising campaign. Through pledge collections, they raised meaningful contributions to support those in need.

Our Impact

Through these experiences, our children are learning to:

✨Care for the environment by practising the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle).

✨Respect people of all ages, from family to community.

✨Take Responsibility by contributing to causes that make the world a better place.

Together, we are nurturing a generation of children who feel pride and purpose in building a greener, kinder future.
