SSDB Project 2021 Launch Party: Support Local Produce & Adopt Good Food Safety Practices (Collaborating with Singapore Food Agency)

From farm to fork

In Collaboration with Singapore Food Agency, the K2 children from Assyakirin Mosque Kindergarten had their launch party on Thursday, 1st July 2021. The children learnt about Food Supply and Food Safety. Here, they are posing with their Local Produced Golden Pomfret Craft.

In the Food Supply topic, the children learnt about the national food security of Singapore and what it produces (Leafy Vegetable, Fish, Eggs). The children then made a local produce craft of a Golden Pomfret where they had fun colouring, cutting and assembling the parts together. With that, they learnt that they should choose to buy Singapore-farmed produce when buying groceries in the Supermarket.

As for the Food Safety topic, the children learnt how to observe good food safety habits and the 5 key tips on Food Safety. In addition, the children made a paper sandwich craft by cutting and assembling the parts together. With that, they learnt some food safety tips when preparing a real sandwich next time.

Great job children! Till our next series of activites and events to accomplish our mission!
