In line with the SSDB theme “With Every Child, We Shape Tomorrow,” our centre planned engaging activities for the children. As part of our efforts, we also practised simple habits such as rationing water use and turning off the air-conditioning for an hour to build awareness of conservation.
A key highlight was a collaborative mural from PG to K2, where children painted and created elements like butterflies. The mural reflects each child’s contribution in shaping the future and celebrates creativity and teamwork. ❤️
For PG and N1, children were introduced to nature through hands-on activities such as designing pot planters, growing beansprouts, and making simple dishes like beansprout fritters. These experiences supported their curiosity and appreciation for the natural world. 🌱
For N2, children engaged in games using recycled materials, such as tossing bottle caps into egg cartons. They also used recycled cups and cardboard to create a simple storage bin, promoting creativity and environmental awareness. They also helped to make use of their fingerprints to decorate the mural! 👍🏻
For K1, children created planters using recycled bottles and painted them with their own designs. They also folded butterflies to decorate the collaborative mural, contributing creatively while reinforcing the importance of recycling and teamwork. 🪴
For K2, children created a game, “Catch a Ball,” using recycled materials such as tetra packs, cardboard, and a ping pong ball. They also cut and painted water droplets and leaves to contribute to the mural. These activities promoted creativity, teamwork, and the fun of reusing materials.
Overall, these activities provided meaningful opportunities for children across all levels to explore creativity, sustainability, and teamwork.
Moving forward, our centre will continue to create purposeful learning experiences that nurture each child’s growth, empowering them to play an active role in shaping a better tomorrow. ☁️
