On 3rd of February, the K1 and K2 children visited the Chong Hua Tong Active Ageing Centre for a special performance. Prior to the visit, all levels in our centre took part in a donation drive, contributing essential rations which the kindergarten children then brought along to personally distribute to the seniors during the visit. The children put up a cheerful performance, bringing smiles and joy to the elderly residents. This meaningful collaboration provided a valuable opportunity for the children to interact with the seniors, foster empathy, and understand the importance of caring for others in the community.
As they learn more about how elderlies needs a lot of medication, our K1 and K2 children also partnered with republic Polytechnic students to learn more about reading presribtions and recycling blister packs and medicine bottles.
Through these activities, children learned how to read simple medicine prescriptions and explored the importance of recycling medicine bottles and blister packs. Using these materials, they were able to create heartfelt art and craft pieces that reflect their understanding and care for the environment.
