In the next few lessons, the children were then introduced to KidStart and the importance of helping other families in need. The children then embarked on an fundraising event throughout the month of September and worked together to create handmade crafts to sell and raise money to donate to KidStart and their cause. The children created crafts based on the theme of love.
The N2 children were also engaged to join us and made handmade magnets using air-dry clay. The K1 children made beautiful pencil holders with the use of popsicle sticks and containers.
Last but not least, the K2 children made intricate phone wristlets using various beads and charms and their creativity.
Through this event we managed to raise $562 , and presented the money to Mr Mateen at KidStart’s headquarters as well as a gift bundle of the various items made by our children!
