Policemen's Visit to Newton Kindergarten  24th April 2024

Awareness of our community is important for our children.

Teaching them about a key pillar of the community, the Police Force, helps the children to understand and appreciate the vital role policemen play in keeping our country safe.

As part of our Start Small Dream Big 2024 project, Newton Kindergarten Pre-Nursery children were encouraged to show their appreciation to our community workers, the policemen.

Two weeks before the policemen’s visit to the school, the teacher prepared the children for the visit.

The teacher described the policemen’s job - patrolling the streets, maintaining law and order, giving a helping hand to those being abused, etc.

Next, the teachers and students worked together to create a thank-you card to be presented to the police officers to express their thanks and appreciation.
