On 17 July 2025, our K2 children visited Geylang East Nursing Home for a National Day engagement. The visit was organised to provide the children with an opportunity to interact with the elderly residents while celebrating the spirit of Singapore’s National Day.
During the session, the children and residents worked together to create National Day themed craft. This intergenerational collaboration not only allowed the children to express their creativity and love for the nation, but also brought joy and companionship to the residents.
At the end of the visit, teachers helped to decorate the centre with the crafts that the children made together with the elderlies. The artworks were proudly displayed on the wall, to symbolize unity, respect, and the shared pride of celebrating Singapore’s National Day together.
Before the visit, our PG children prepared a special appreciation gift for the nursing home, while the PN and K2 children created National Day–themed crafts to be used for the centre’s decorations. These thoughtful preparations added a personal touch to the visit and further strengthened the children’s sense of contribution and care for the community.
