This year SDM Choa Chu Kang is excited to embarked in Start Small Dream Big project again. This year, our focus is on something close to all our hearts, Marine Conservation! The children chose their slogan, ‘Less Ocean Trash, More Marine Life’.
To kick off this meaningful journey, our Nursery to Kindergarten 2 children have been actively engaged in discussions about their prior knowledge of the ocean and its many wonders. From sea creatures to coral reefs and the importance of keeping our waters clean. Our young minds have shown incredible curiosity and care for marine life.
As part of this project, the children also shared what they are eager to learn – from how plastic affects sea creatures to what they can do to help protect the ocean.
To spark even more curiosity and wonder, we held the Launch Party at the S.E.A. Aquarium on 19 March 2025! This immersive experience allowed the children to see marine life up close, ask questions, and deepen their understanding of the ocean’s beauty and fragility.
Through this SSDB journey, we aim to empower our little ones to make a big difference – one small action at a time.
