In conjunction with SSDB project, the Kindergarten 1 children went on an excursion to Sustainable Singapore Gallery to gain more insights on “Zero Waste”. The children were engaged in a guided tour to find out about Singapore’s efforts towards being a Zero Waste Nation and how the exorbitant amount of waste generated are managed. They also discovered more information about waste, recyclables and good recycling habits through exploring various interactive games and/or materials. During the tour, the children had a meaningful engagement mainly at Zone E “The Journey to Zero”.
To see how much Singapore has already been filled with incinerated trash, they had the opportunity to stand above the floor display of Semakau Landfill, the place where all general waste eventually ends up too. What an insightful learning journey!
