On 12th May 2022, K2 children had a community walk to pick up litters in our neighborhood. This is to develop children’s responsibility to the environment and understand things that can be recycled. Before we went for a walk, we prepared ourselves with tongs, gloves, and bags to discard litters. We walked along the way to Kebun Baru Birdsinging Club.
K2 children show enthusiastic to pick up the litters that they could see. They also differentiated whether the particular litter to be recycled or not recycled. They also indicated their cooperation that take turns with their friends.
After we picked up the litters, we went to the nearest normal green bin and blue bin to discard the litters. Children familiarised that litters should discard into normal green bin and yet recycled materials should discard into blue bin.
Together with the children, Sunflower Preschool @ Ang Mo Kio pledges to go green and make our Earth a beautiful place to live in.
