We are thrilled to share the fantastic news that our K1 Champs participated in the Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) this year! After an engaging group discussion, it became apparent that our Champs have a deep interest in wild animals. Consequently, we decided to collaborate with Mandai Wildlife Reserve to make this year’s SSDB theme ‘Building a World Where People and Wildlife Thrive Together’.
In line with our theme, we’ve incorporated animals into our Enquiry Teaching & Learning. Champs have shown great curiosity, discussing the impact of wildfires on wildlife and how we can promote sustainability. To make this SSDB project even more memorable, we organised an exciting 2D1N camp that allowed our K1 Champs to gain knowledge towards sustainable efforts and responsible waste management.
Additionally, we visited Marina Barrage to deepen our understanding of sustainability, where our eager learners engaged in meaningful discussions. We couldn’t have done this without the enthusiastic support of our parents, who joined us for a beach clean-up, instilling the importance of caring for our environment.
