On the 25th of August, our K2 Children from PCF Sparkletots Preschool@Punggol North Blk 105D along with the principal, teachers and parent volunteers, visited the Lion Befrienders (Tampines) Senior Activity Centre to help give out food donations to the centre. While they were there, the children did a morning workout with the elderly, interacted with them by getting to know them better and playing games, and also helped to serve their tea break meals. The children sang a song and performed a dance to the elderly while they were there as well and wrapped up the activities for the day by handing out their handmade gifts for the elderly which they made in school. The children were also suprised with gifts, hand-made by the elderly of the centre. At the end of this visit, the students learnt the importance of caring for one another and the value of empathy by helping out those in need.
