Animal Art Day 2025: Little Hands, Big Hearts for Wildlife -

An SSDB Finale by Little Footprints Preschool

On a vibrant and heartwarming day, Little Footprints Preschool @Jurong East 248 transformed into a bustling marketplace of creativity, compassion, and community spirit.

Animal Art Day, our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) Finale 2025, was more than just a fundraising event—it was a celebration of art, empathy, and action, led by our very own young changemakers.

This year, under the inspiring theme “Young Hearts for Wild Lives: Together for Tomorrow,” our little ones partnered with ACRES (Animal Concerns Research & Education Society) to raise funds and awareness for the protection of wildlife. Every artwork created, every craft sold, and every cheerful smile was part of a bigger purpose—to protect and care for the animals that share our planet.

Each class brought their unique creativity to life with handcrafted, animal-themed merchandise that charmed families and visitors alike. K2 students impressed as both artists and young entrepreneurs, creating detailed animal figurines displayed on picture frames and pencil holders, while confidently managing sales booths—greeting guests, explaining the cause, and handling QR code payments with enthusiasm and teamwork.

K1 children showcased their thoughtfulness through handmade animal pencil toppers and colorful, hand-drawn notebooks. They also offered popcorn and cotton candy, each bag adorned with a heartfelt thank-you note crafted by the children.

Nursery students added a whimsical touch with their adorable clay owls and bats on sticks, which were especially popular among younger visitors.

Pre-Nursery children contributed vibrant, tactile notebook covers by pressing neon-colored clay onto pre-drawn animal outlines.

Even the littlest ones in Playgroup played their part, creating squishy stress balls filled with flour and decorated with googly eyes, delighting both parents and siblings. The event was a true celebration of creativity, teamwork, and the joy of giving.

With every purchase, families not only brought home a handcrafted treasure, but also contributed to a meaningful cause. The joy and pride on the children’s faces were undeniable as they watched their creations find new homes, all while supporting wildlife in need

Our collaboration with ACRES made this event truly special. As we raised funds for their vital work in protecting wildlife and educating the public, we also planted the seeds of activism and awareness in the hearts of our young learners.

Animal Art Day 2025 showed us that no hands are too small to make a difference. Through creativity, collaboration, and compassion, our children have proven that they are truly “Young Hearts for Wild Lives.”
