On 10 July 2025, My First Skool @ AMK08 was filled with laughter, energy, and the warmth of community during our highly anticipated Active Family Day. More than just a day of fun, this special event united families in support of a greater cause — raising funds for the NTUC First Campus Bright Horizons Fund (BHF), which supports children from low-income families in their learning journey.
The day began with a lively 1KM Walkathon, where children, parents, and even grandparents walked side by side, hand in hand. With every step, families not only built memories but also contributed meaningfully to a cause that uplifts and empowers children who need it most.
The celebration continued at a series of interactive outdoor stations, designed to promote intergenerational bonding and joyful learning. From tossing beanbags and hopping into coloured hula hoops, to playing soccer, “Red Light, Green Light,” scavenger hunts, and mother tongue language games using loose parts — the activities sparked laughter, movement, and connection.
Families then explored a carnival zone, where children enjoyed snacks, drinks, and more opportunities to bond through play. A crowd favourite was the Preschool Market booth, where children created delicate dried flower bookmarks — a hands-on craft that encouraged both creativity and fine motor development.
This event was a celebration of unity, compassion, and giving back. By participating in Active Family Day, every family helped make a difference in the lives of others — reinforcing values of empathy, generosity, and community spirit in our young ones.
