Our theme for this year is ‘Helping Hands, Happy Hearts’. It celebrates the idea that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a difference. Through simple, caring actions, children learn how helping others brings joy and not just to those around them, but to themselves too. With their little hands and big hearts, our children are taking their first steps in building a kinder, more caring community!
On 15th May 2025, we officially launched our SSDB project for the year! The event was filled with games and craft activities, helping children explore and understand the meaning behind our theme.
On the 28th May 2025, our children are to decorate and use the images provided to write positive messages in front of their school sidewalk. The kind messages are there to help brighten someone’s day, make people in the community feel seen and valued.
On the 20th May 2025, we reached out to parents to invite them to take part in our project. Together with their child, they will create a “Kindness Coaster,” which will be distributed during our grocery distribution. This activity aims to foster a spirit of caring and strengthen the sense of shared humanity within our neighborhood.
On 2nd June 2025, we partnered together with Tampines Changkat Community Club to pack and carry out a door-to-door distribution of the donated grocery items. Our lovely parents generously volunteered their time to support this meaningful effort.
Lastly, on the 27th June 2025, each child were given an opportunity to make one flower out of recycled materials and head off to different community places. They get to show love and appreciation to the community and practice saying positive and kind messages while handing out their the flowers.
For our SSDB Finale, we discussed what we have learned and done for the project. The children had a wonderful and engaging experience contributing to the SSDB this year’s theme alongside our partnership❤️
