On 21st April 2023, we had officially launch our SSDB project for the year; The Plastic Mission!
The Plastic Mission aimed to educate children and our community on the harmful effect of plastic, and all the different ways we can avoid the usage of single-use plastic!
Children were introduced to the Plastic Mission, where we shared on the 4 recyclable plastics; Type 1, 2, 4 and 5!
Children were engaged in a Plastic Hunt, where they picked up recyclable plastics that can be found all around the school and sorted them according to its type of plastic! Children were also engaged in creating their own poster to represent the Plastic Mission!
We had also invited our parents to our Launch Party, where they were introduced to what The Plastic Mission was all about, the harmful effects of single use plastic and why we were focusing on plastic types 1, 2, 4 and 5! Parents also joined in on the plastic hunt, where they looked out for recyclable plastics and attempted to sort them out to their respective categories!
To end of our launch party, our parents had also created a banner for our project, using recyclable materials!
