🍀SSDB July Highlights – “Reuse” with Heart! ❤️

In the spirit of giving our old items a new life, the children embarked on meaningful and creative “Reuse”-themed activities this July as part of our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) project. Through art and hands-on creations, we explored how everyday items can be repurposed with imagination and care for our environment.

Children working in groups, selecting and arranging bottle caps.

They arranged the caps on recycled cardboard bases to form animals, flowers, and scenes from nature, then added details using markers and paint. The process sparked conversations about saving the Earth and finding beauty in the things we often throw away.

The children also reused empty milk cartons, plastic bottles, and other recyclables as the base and transformed them into upcycled stationery holders with colourful magazine clippings, old wrapping paper, stickers, and glue.

These DIY holders now sit proudly on our shelves, filled with crayons and markers — a daily reminder of how creativity can support sustainability!

Through these hands-on activities, our little eco-heroes learned that even small changes — like reusing household items — can make a big impact. Their enthusiasm and creativity shine through each project, inspiring all of us to think twice before we toss!

Stay tuned for more SSDB adventures next month!
