The Happy Toilet Programme (part 2)

Stay Connected, Make A Difference - After learning the need to adopt desired restroom etiquette from Restroom Association Singapore (RAS) online, the children engaged in activities that lead them to appreciate the strenuous work of cleaning attendants.

Firstly, the children rated the cleanliness of the toilets in the school based on their present knowledge. All of the children unanimously voted that the toilets in school were indeed clean.

The children had better understanding of the cleaning attendant’s work after they had experienced cleaning the toilets and classrooms. Through this exposure, the children discovered the hardships of the cleaning attendant’s job.

Then, they created posters to spread awareness to their peers by encouraging them to use the toilets appropriately which in turn lightens the workload of the cleaning attendant.

The children also expressed their appreciation for the cleaning attendant by creating a song and recording it into a video. They designed cards to convey gratitude for the cleaning attendant as she ensures cleanliness around the school environment.
