As part of our Start Small Dream Big Launch Party, Star Learners @ Siglap kicked off this year’s project with joy and excitement under the theme “Together for Tomorrow, Empowering Young Hearts.” This theme encourages children to show empathy, work as a team, and care for their community.
The children were delighted to welcome special guests from Red Cross Singapore, including the Red Cross Junior (RCJ) mascot, Henry, whose cheerful presence brought big smiles to everyone’s faces. The children were also introduced to the mission of the Red Cross through an engaging PowerPoint presentation, where they learned simple life-saving tips and participated in fun, hands-on bandaging activities guided by the Red Cross ambassadors.
Through this meaningful experience, the children discovered the importance of kindness, empathy, and helping others. It was a heart-warming and inspiring way to begin our Start Small Dream Big journey, empowering the children to make a positive difference in their own little ways.
In line with Star Learners’ core value of nurturing empathic thinkers, this session provided an opportunity for the children to deepen their understanding of empathy and social responsibility. It was a joy to witness their growing confidence as they applied their bandaging skills with care and a genuine desire to help others.
