The N2 children from PCF Sparkletots @ Joo Chiat concluded their SSDB journey by creating a meaningful 3D sculpture of a panda—an endangered animal symbolising the importance of wildlife conservation.
Together with their parents, the children used recycled materials such as plastic bottles, drink cans, and toilet paper cores to bring their panda to life. Through this hands-on experience, they not only expressed their creativity but also reinforced what they had learned about how pollution affects animals and how reusing waste can help protect the planet.
To reflect on their journey, the children worked together to create a mind map, revisiting what they had learned and done throughout the project. They recalled the animals they helped, the waste they sorted, and the actions they can take every day to care for the environment. It was a thoughtful way to bring their learning full circle, highlighting their understanding and personal growth.
The sculpture stands as a proud reminder that even small actions—like picking up litter, sorting waste, and using recycled materials—can make a big difference.
It was a joyful and purposeful end to our “Trash to Treasure – Caring for Creatures with Creativity” project, celebrating the children’s growth in environmental awareness, responsibility, and teamwork. 🐼♻️🌱
