Start Small, Dream Big – Kindness Project

In this project, the children explored the powerful idea that small acts of kindness can grow into something much bigger and more meaningful.

Start Small – Kindness Jar

The children began with the “Kindness Jar” activity. Every time they showed kindness—whether it was helping, sharing, or comforting a friend—they added a colorful stick to the jar. This simple gesture helped them understand that even the smallest acts of kindness matter. As the jar slowly filled with bright colors, it symbolized the many kind actions taking place in the classroom. The children were excited to contribute, feeling proud of their efforts and seeing how their kindness made the jar grow.

Dream Big – Kindsville Activity

For the “Dream Big” part of the project, the children worked together on the “Kindsville” activity. By helping one another and demonstrating teamwork, they discovered that kindness grows even more powerful when shared. Together, they created a community of care, reinforcing the idea that kindness doesn’t just make a difference on a small scale—it has the potential to create something much bigger when nurtured and shared with others.

The Big Lesson

Through both activities, the children learned that kindness may start with a single act, but when nurtured, it can grow into something much larger. They saw firsthand how their small actions had a meaningful impact, and how working together with kindness can create lasting change.
