Our SSDB project this year was all about creating opportunities for our Kindergarteners to interact with seniors 👵👴 with care, empathy, and respect 💕. The objective was to provide meaningful and interactive activities that bring joy and foster connection between the children and the elderly.
In the weeks leading up to the event, the children had a sharing session to learn about SSDB and discuss how they could show kindness to the seniors. With the generous support of parents, we collected donations of dry groceries such as Milo, coffee, biscuits, and tissues. 🍪🧻The children then worked together to pack these items into goodie bags 🎁, preparing to bless the seniors with thoughtful gifts.
On 24 September, our K1 and K2 children, joined by a few parents, visited Fei Yue Senior Activity Centre at Limbang. They performed three lively items to entertain the seniors, followed by a hands-on art-and-craft activity 🎨 where children and seniors worked side by side. The visit concluded with the children personally presenting the goodie bags 🎁, bringing smiles to the seniors’ faces.
This experience was a meaningful opportunity for our children to practice empathy and respect while spreading joy to the community 🏡
