Our first visit to the St Luke’s Elderly care!
Children were so excited as they prepared performances to showcase to the Ah Gongs and Ah Mas!!
They performed the songs Chan Mali Chan, 数星星 , and 蜗牛与黄鹂鸟.
After the performances, the children and elderly bonded together through a variety of activities
They did craft work such as colouring and flower stamping. The children guided the elderly in colouring and dipping the plastic bottles into paint before stamping it onto a paper.
They also had a movement activity whereby the elderly were tasked to throw the beanbags while the children catch it with a basket. The children and elderly encouraged each other with praises! Good job to all!!
At the end of the session, they presented the vegetables that they had grown in the garden to the elderly!
Through this session, the children displayed altruistic behaviour and developed compassion in caring for elderly, competence and confidence in guiding them!
