The Start Small Dream Big Launch Party was celebrated on 23rd April 2021 at PCF Sparkletots Pasir Ris West Blk 517. The N2 children were introduced to this year’s project title: Little hands, BIG heart where the children made colourful little handprints out of a big heart shape. The aim of this project is to avoid food wastage and helping the less fortunate.
Children were taught on the food banner “Love food, Avoid waste”. They showed understanding about how much they should love food and always finish up their portion of food so as not to waste.
This was demonstrated during their snack time where they finished up all their food. They were also aware that children in poor countries are not as fortunate as they hardly have luxurious or basic food to eat for their meals. Therefore, at all times, children have to be reminded of how fortunate they are and that they have to be thankful for having proper food for their meals.
Children were also excited to be a food waste warrior where they put on their headgear to show their determination towards avoiding food wastage.
