SSDB Barter Trade 2021
The BIG day is finally here!! The day that the children and teachers had worked hard and look forward for.
This is our 2nd year running the Start Small Dream Big Barter Trade. A finale event to culminate this project with our children and parents.🎉🥳
It is an extremely exciting event, as we have the children and parents from N1 and N2 classes to participate for the first time!
During the preparation of the Barter Trade, the children decorated their canvas pouch by painting “Kindness” words which they later filled it with healthier choice symbol’s snacks.
The Barter Trade was made possible, because of the generous contribution by our parents that we are able to get the canvas pouch, painting materials and the snacks.
Day 1 - The barter trade was dedicated to the N1 and N2 classes. Children waited patiently for their parents to arrive at the designated time slots. Upon recieving the donation items from the parents, they were taught to say a big “thank you” to their parents.
Day 2 -. The K1 and K2 parents came enthusiastically to support the event. The children were excited to show and tell their parents of the canvas pouch they had painted before doing the exchange for the donated items with their parents.
We are very grateful for the unwavering support and the generosity of all our parents and families for their donations.
We are also happy to have successfully delivered the donated items to our partnering community “NTUC Health Senior Day Care (Silver Circle) - Jurong Central”.
SSDB 2021 can never be successful without the dedication of our wonderful team of teachers and the strong support from our Principal and parents. ❤️
