Handwritten Card – Expressing Love Through Art and Words

On Thursday, 5th June 2025, the K2 children at Skool4Kidz @ Woodlands Crescent Meadows participated in a heartfelt activity titled Handwritten Card as part of our SSDB 2025 project. This meaningful session provided children with the opportunity to express their love and appreciation for their parents through art and simple writing.

The children began by creating fingerprint art, dipping their fingers into colourful paints and pressing them gently onto paper. They observed the unique textures and patterns of their fingerprints with great excitement, exploring how they could use them to create flowers, balloons, or decorative borders for their cards.

Once their artwork was completed, the children were encouraged to think about what they wanted to say to their parents. With guidance from their teachers, they wrote short, heartfelt messages such as “Thank you for taking care of me,” “I love you,” or “You make me happy.” These personalised notes made each card a unique and cherished expression of love.

Throughout the process, the children displayed creative confidence, language development, and emotional expression. They took pride in their work and were eager to present the cards to their parents as a special keepsake.

This simple yet powerful activity helped children understand the value of showing appreciation and communicating feelings through both visual and written forms—further nurturing strong connections with their families in line with our SSDB 2025 values.
