We have embarked on our SSDB journey and had a meaningful launching party on April 30, 2024. Our theme for this year is “No one can do everything, but everyone can do something.” With this theme, we have named our project “Help Each Other, Love Our Community.”
Our children from Playgroup to Kindergarten 2 have been learning about the importance of contributing to the environment by helping to keep Singapore safe and clean. During the launching party, they sang and danced to the official Start Small Dream Big song “Step by Step” and performed an action song titled “The Sharity, Elephant Rock.”
Before the event, our children discussed how they wanted to contribute to the community in their own small ways. Some children proudly mentioned that, to help build the community, they would offer assistance to others and show care by protecting our environment. It was an engaging and meaningful SSDB launch party for both the children and teachers.
At the end of the party, the children created their own SSDB pledge cards as a creative expression of their community involvement.
