In conjunction with our Start Small Dream Big project and our holiday programme, we have embarked on a learning journey with Dulwich college. The Kindergarten One and Two took a walk next door to take part in exviting activities. The children engaged in activities related to “Healthy Eating”, “Gardening” and “Road Safety.
In Gardening, the children learnt the different types of plants and their names and they plantes some seeds by scooping soil into the flower pots followed by making a hole in the soil, putting some seeds in it, covering the seeds with the soil and watering it. The children got to take the plant the have planted in the centre and they have been caring for it everyday.
In Healthy Eating, the children learnt what food, fruit and vegetables is good for our body. The children tried different juices, and made their own healtht sandwich snacks.
In Road Safety, the children learnt about the different signs such as stop, pedestrian crossing, speed limit signs and what different traffic lights colours mean. After the theory lesson, the children were given the chance to ride the trcycles in Dulwivh’s own road safety training track.
