“FAMILY is where LIFE begins and LOVE never ends”.
This year, PCF Blk 508 @ Bedok-Reservoir Punggol chose the topic of ‘Love makes a Family’ as our SSDB project for the year 2023. Family plays a crucial part in everybody’s life and to give the children a deeper understanding on the importance of having family closeness and strong family ties.
We kick off by having a discussion with the children on their understanding of ‘What is a family?’ Who are your family members and their roles played by them?
The Kindegarten 1 and 2 children had a meaningful discussion and shared their views to the class about the meaning of a family and who are their family members. They had small group sharing on the roles played by each family members. In addition, children had an art and craft activity whereby they drew their family tree and the roles played by their family members.
