Small Acts of Love, Big Dreams of Gratitude: Celebrating Parent Appreciation Day

As part of the Start Small Dream Big initiative, Sparkletots Preschool Admiralty 581 embarked on a heartwarming journey to show appreciation to the most important people in our children’s lives—their parents. With joyful hearts and little hands full of creativity, our young learners prepared a special celebration for Parent Appreciation Day, filled with music, movement, laughter, and meaningful crafts.

The day began with a lively song and dance performance by the children. Beaming with pride and excitement, they sang their hearts out and danced with cheerful energy, bringing smiles—and even a few tears of joy—to their parents’ faces. It was a touching moment that reflected the deep bond between child and parent.

To continue the celebration, the children proudly presented the art crafts they had created as tributes to their parents. Each piece, made with care and love, was a heartfelt thank-you that symbolized their appreciation for all the big and small things their parents do every day.

Laughter and bonding filled the air as we moved into the fun and interactive games segment. Parents and children teamed up for the classic newspaper dance and an exciting round of “Bring Me”. These games not only brought out lots of giggles but also strengthened the connection between parents and their children through play.

One of the highlights of the day was the collaborative art activity, where each level worked alongside their parents to create beautiful keepsakes:

K1 and K2 children teamed up with their parents to design their own DIY keychains or bracelets, weaving together threads of creativity and love.

N1 and N2 children created touching Clay Fingerprint Family Art, capturing a moment in time with their tiny fingerprints and warm family themes.

Infant and Playgroup (IF-PG) children worked with their parents to decorate photo frames using natural materials and various art supplies, turning simple materials into beautiful memories.

Through these activities, our children learned the importance of appreciation, love, and gratitude. They may be small, but their actions spoke volumes—living proof of the Start Small Dream Big spirit.

It was truly a day to remember—where little acts of love blossomed into big dreams of gratitude, and families left with full hearts and cherished memories.
