R-E-S-P-E-C-T : Start them Young

In collaboration with the Singapore Kindness Movement, we engaged our K1 and K2 SSDB Ambassadors with fun activities that teach kindness and respect towards others.

The K1 children listened to the story of “The Wooloo Friends”, a book that inculcates respect to cultural differences

After the storytelling, children shared their interactions with friends of different cultures. They talked about respecting each race’s traditional clothes, their foods, and their celebrations.

On this picture, he is talking about his Chinese Traditional clothes that he wore last Chinese New Year. He also shared how his relatives gave him red packets!

One of our Malay students shared about Salam or kissing of hands. He demonstrated and taught his friends how to do it.

He shared, “ I always salam to my parents and to the older people because I love them”.

Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and kindness. Let us all celebrate the differences in all people. 🌼
