On the afternoon of 6 June 2025, families gathered at the Multi-Purpose Hall to celebrate Parents’ Day as part of the Start Small Dream Big project, in collaboration with Families for Life. The event was a memorable occasion, filled with joy, family bonding, and heartfelt moments.
The celebration kicked off with an Opening and Welcome by Centre Principal, Ms. Janice, who warmly addressed the attendees and highlighted the significance of parents in shaping their children’s lives. Her inspiring words set the tone for an afternoon of fun and connection.
The festivities began with an invigorating Mass Exercise session, where families of all ages participated in a lively group workout. The session was designed to encourage healthy living and promote family fitness, and it was met with enthusiastic participation from both parents and children. The energy was infectious, with everyone enjoying the chance to move and exercise together.
Following the workout, families engaged in Parents-Children Interactive Games, designed to strengthen communication and teamwork. Parents and children played together, and create lasting memories in a playful and supportive environment.
One of the most touching moments of the event was the Children’s Performance segment, where students showcased their talents through dance performances. The performances were met with applause from parents.
In a heartfelt gesture of appreciation, each child presented their parent with a token of gratitude, whether it was a beautifully crafted card or a handmade piece of art. This simple yet meaningful act allowed children to express their love and gratitude for the constant support they receive from their parents.
Next was the Group Photo session, capturing the spirit of the day and providing families with a lasting keepsake to remember the special occasion.
Each participating family received a goodie bag with reusable cutlery sets, cotton pouches, tattoo stickers, and 2D cameras. The event wrapped up with a final mass workout, where the 10 most energetic families were awarded special kids’ umbrellas for their enthusiasm and spirit.
The Start Small Dream Big project continues to foster strong family bonds and promote positive interactions through fun and engaging events. The Parents’ Day celebration was a perfect example of how families can come together to support and appreciate one another.
