The 1st Parent Teachers Meet for the year will be on 29th June 2019. We took the opportunity to organise a a food donation drive for our selected beneficiary, Food From The Heart.
The SSDB organising team had brainstorming sessions to plan for the event. We plan to do bartertrade of food items for crafts and bakes done the children and Teachers. We had sent out the invitation to all parents about the food donation drive. The response were overwhelming. Parents indicated their interest to help the needy families.
We also invited K2 parents to work together with the SSDB organising team to bake cakes/cookies and help out during the actual event.
Children started to make crafts for the bartertrade event during the June holidays. They made photo frames, pencils holders, flowers and many more. Teachers contributed their ideas and expertise too.
At the end of the day, children recorded down their experience is their SSDB journal.
They wrote “Thank You” cards for the donations.
