Our SSDB journey this year was done in partnership with Mandai Wildlife Group, and we chose the smooth-coated otter as our focus. The children collected recyclables and turned them into posters, art pieces and even musical instruments to share their ideas about saving wildlife. They also enjoyed stories, hands-on activities and a trip to the zoo, where they made real connections about how our actions can help or hurt animals. The journey came together at the Wild-erful Singapore exhibition, where the children proudly shared their learning with the public through displays and fun activities. Teachers later extended the outreach by sharing this project at ECCE 2025, showing how even young children can take action for conservation. This experience gave the children confidence, teamwork, and a stronger voice in speaking up for the otters.
