In celebration of Chinese New Year, the children at Kidz Meadow came together to spread festive cheer by distributing oranges to the community, with a special focus on residents living in a nearby rental block.
Before the event, parents were invited to contribute oranges, which the children then packed with care to be shared during the outreach.
On the day itself, parent volunteers joined the children as they went from floor to floor, handing out oranges and engaging in brief conversations with residents who opened their doors. The children also took the opportunity to share oranges with passers-by and community helpers they met along the way.
This meaningful experience helped nurture the value of selfless giving—an essential part of building a compassionate community. When we give without expecting anything in return, we foster trust and kindness.
Even small acts like taking the time to talk, listen, or smile show others that they are seen and valued. Over time, such simple gestures help create a community rooted in empathy, connection, and support.
