As part of our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) project, the children brainstormed together and agreed on the theme “Caring for the Elderly.” We began by sharing a wide range of ideas and eventually narrowed them down to several meaningful activities within our given timeframe. These included serving our grandmothers and grandfathers in school, preparing care packs for elderly residents in the neighbourhood, and visiting an old folks’ home. The children were full of excitement and poured their hearts into every activity. They were especially proud during our neighbourhood walk, where they distributed the care packs to elderly individuals at nearby coffee shops and the shopping centre. It was a heartwarming and impactful experience that taught the children the importance of compassion and giving back to the community.
