Kidz Meadow Eunos Ssdb Launch 2025

“Nurturing Kindness, Building Community” is the theme for our SSDB (Start Small Dream Big) project in 2025. To kickstart our journey, we involved all children—from toddlers

to K2—in preparing for our SSDB launch.

The children had a wonderful time creating colourful bookmarks, which will be distributed to the elderly at Muhammadiyah Daycare Centre as a gesture of kindness and care.

On the 8th of May, we proudly launched our SSDB project and shared our future plans for community collaboration with the N2 to K2 children at our centre. After a short explanation about the importance of the community around us, we officially launched our project.

Representatives from each class were invited to hang paper plates—with their handwritten notes and drawings of community helpers—on our “Community Tree.” The event was filled with joy and excitement as cheers echoed throughout the space.

Following the launch, the K2 children visited Muhammadiyah Daycare Centre to spend the afternoon with the elderly. They had thoughtfully planned engaging activities to bring smiles and companionship to the elders.

We began with a gentle chair exercise session, led by the K2s and teachers, to get everyone moving and energized. This was followed by a performance from the children—which the elders enjoyed so much that they asked for more! Afterwards, we held an art and craft session where the elders decorated keychains alongside the children. This activity fostered meaningful connections, instilling love, patience, and understanding between the two generations.

The visit concluded with a warm get-together session. The staff at the daycare centre graciously gave us a short tour of the facility, allowing the children to better understand the daily routines of the elders. This experience helped nurture empathy and human connection, as the children came to see that today’s seniors were once young, active contributors to society. It reminded them that giving back is an act of gratitude and respect.

Seeing the elders’ bright smiles helped the children understand how much companionship and attention mean to them. They also witnessed firsthand how simple acts of kindness can significantly uplift someone’s day.
