Since last year, the entire world has been combating with the Covid 19 situation. The crisis has called upon new and creative ways of working, and perhaps deepened our appreciation towards people around us. This year, the aim of Khalsa Kindergarten is to bring awareness amongst children about the importance of staying connected while staying at their own places. Khalsa kindergarten wants to send a simple message to the community to adapt to the Digital world, which helps in staying connected with family and friends via the virtual world. Khalsa kindergarten also aims to reach out to the elderly through online calls or meetings and sending videos to them which will serve as tonic for them to help them connect with the community. We are sure that we can bring out kindness in ourselves and others, throughout these testing times.
On 30th of April, khalsa Kindergarten embarked on the launch party by singing a self composed song called, “Are we scared of Coronavirus”. They lifted the start (SSDB) to show the kindness towards the community.

Children from K1 gave head start to the project –Theme “Stay connected Make A Difference”
K2– Culturally different dance -to commemorate the occasion of Vaisakhi and to celebrate the SSDB Launch which the K2 department had planned to dance in small groups on the various songs. The videos will be sent to elderly in the community. Children will learn to give back to society by volunteering their time and connecting with people, which will bring positive impact in them.

K1 – Art with Heart-K1 Different art techniques, were used for follow up activities like colouring Vaishakhi posters, making puppets, and also making mosaic art cards for the elderly. Children express appreciation and kindness by relating to the elderly. These activities were part of the commemoration of Vaisakhi and SSDB Launch party.
Children from Nursery participated in SSDB launch party by playing games, like fixing puzzles (phone, tablet and computer – Digital Introduction), Running with pots to transfer into hula hoops, balancing pot on head and transferring water using a cup from pail to pot. (Pots were used as this related to Vaisakhi). They had a lot of fun.
