Intergenerational Programme 2023

January (Chinese New Year Artwork)

As Chinese New Year was drawing near, the Playgroup children participated in finger painting cherry blossom art to be handed over to St Luke’s Eldercare for them to complete. It was an activity where the children and elderly used their bare fingers to dip and dab onto the tree template.

February (Chinese New Year Performance by the K2s)

During the last week of Chinese New Year, the children did a lion dance performance for staff and seniors at ST Luke’s Eldercare. During the lion dance performance, they also interacted with the elderlies by walking around, giving high-5s, smiling and waving hello. They also sang and danced to Chinese songs.

After the performance was over, the children received hong baos from the staff.

The children thanked them and waved goodbyes to the elderly.

March (Rainbow pop up art activity)

The elderly took part in a simple art activity (Rainbow pop up). They created their very own rainbow 3D artwork using the colour paper strips provided and cloud cut-outs. They were given choices to choose the various colour paper strips. They had an enjoyable time participating in the activity.
