Healthy Foods for Family

On Monday, 23rd June 2025, the N2 children at Skool4Kidz @ Woodlands Crescent Meadows participated in an interactive session titled Healthy Foods for Family as part of our ongoing SSDB 2025 project journey. The activity aimed to help children understand the importance of healthy eating, not just for themselves, but also for the well-being of their family members.

The session started with a group discussion, where the children shared the types of foods they enjoy with their family and talked about what makes their loved ones feel strong and happy. With the help of food picture cards, they explored various items such as apples, broccoli, chips, and soda.

Each child took turns selecting a card and deciding whether the food belonged in the “Healthy” or “Unhealthy” basket. The teacher guided them with questions like “Would this help your family stay strong?” and “Is this something we should eat every day?” to encourage critical thinking and informed choices.

The activity concluded with a reflection circle, where children shared which healthy foods they would like to enjoy with their family members and how they can help encourage healthier eating at home. The children demonstrated curiosity, engagement, and a growing sense of responsibility as they learned about nutrition and how to care for their loved ones.

This activity reinforces our SSDB theme of making small, meaningful contributions to our families and communities through everyday choices.
