As part of a meaningful intergenerational initiative in collaboration with SASCO Senior Citizens’ Home, our preschool children had the opportunity to spread joy, warmth, and kindness to the elderly through thoughtful activities and heartfelt gestures.
In the weeks leading up to the visit, children across all levels eagerly prepared to show their appreciation for the elderly through creative and engaging efforts.
The Pre-Nursery and Nursery children crafted beautiful handmade cards and flower-themed art pieces, pouring their love and care into every creation. These crafts were meant to brighten the day of each senior resident and serve as tokens of appreciation from the youngest members of our school community.
The Kindergarten 1 children prepared a lively and heartwarming performance, rehearsing cheerful songs and movements designed to uplift and entertain the seniors.
Meanwhile, the Kindergarten 2 children took the lead in organising interactive activities. These included games, and simple storytelling, aimed at encouraging two-way engagement between the children and the residents during the visit.
