Growing Empathy - Learning About Reserved Seats Skool4kidz @Yishun Orchid Spring

Reserved seats are one of those signages that we can see in public transport like MRT, LRT and bus. In this activity, this sign was explained to children and also its importance.

After the discussion, we focus on person with disability. It was explained that those person have some difficulty in doing some things.

They were blind folded and experience what feels like when they can’t see anything like blind people. This is to developed their sense of empathy and sympathy.

After activity, children were gathered to reflection on what they felt. Most of them felt sad if they were not able to see. It is nice to let them realize how to be thankful of what they can do. They were able to tell that since some people can’t do some things, they are willing to help them when it’s needed.
